Thanks...this post is spot on! As governor of SD, Noem's level of incompetence in handling flood emergencies was showcased in the McCook Lake flooding near North Sioux City in June of 2024. She showed the same disdain for public welfare that she did this year with the flood in Texas. In the lingo of Christian Nationalists, the SD flood "presaged" the Texas flood. It's not the Creator that poses the problem, it's the MAGA minions that ARE the problem.

I forgot about that flood, although I remember the impact it had in Northwest Iowa. You bring up a good point obout Noem's incompetence...the Texas flood wasn't her first rodeo, and in both cases she has failed to provide leadership...all we get are "thoughts and prayers."

This is absolutely horrible. Christian Nationalism is dangerous and unconstitutional. Unfortunately, it seems to be taking hold more and more. People and politicians need to stand up and put an end to this movement before we are completely overrun and become a Christian Afghanistan.

We can definitely relate to her SD actions by governmental policies in Iowa.

Last week people in our town joined those in other communities by reading the Bible on our courthouse lawn. I thought, “Why?”

Yes, Iowa and SD are close MAGA cousins. The Bible reading on the courhouse lawn is another one of those performative Christian Nationalist exercises that are designed to show dominion...we own this property, so to speak. They do it because they can, and no one seems to want to put an end to it. Christian Nationalists will push as far as they can until they are stopped.
